The Faculty of Teacher Education (FTEd), in collaboration with the University Research Office, hosted a seminar on 12 May 2023, at the University Audio-Visual Room. The seminar, titled “Tips and Techniques for Crafting an Effective Research Paper,” attracted a diverse audience of students and faculty members eager to enhance their scholarly writing skills.
The event featured esteemed Guest Speaker Dr. Randy M. Tudy, Education Supervisor from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) Regional Office XI. Dr. Tudy shared insights into packaging student theses for journal publication, shedding light on the meticulous process of publishing student research in reputable academic journals.
The seminar also brought together distinguished academics and researchers who served as resource persons, delivering presentations on various essential aspects of research paper writing: Dr. Helina Jean P. Dupa shared valuable insights on crafting an engaging research introduction; Dr. Arvin A. Andacao delved into effective techniques for writing the Review of Related Literature and results section; Prof. Danilo O. Jacobe enlightened the participants on choosing the most appropriate methods to address their research questions effectively; Dr. Jihan A. Labrador discussed the ethical consideration in research; and Dr. Gemma M. Valdez elucidated on the significance of proper citation practices and provided practical tips to ensure accurate and consistent referencing in research papers.
