ABOUT
The Center for Futures Thinking and Regenerative Development of the Davao Oriental State University (DOrSU) was established through the initiative of University President Roy G. Ponce, EdD—the thought-leader in positioning DOrSU as a regenerative futures university, with the generous support of Senator Pia S. Cayetano, Chairperson of the Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Innovation, and Futures Thinking (SDGIFT); and CHED Commissioner Aldrin A. Darilag, PhD, CHRP, RMT, RN, Chairperson of the DOrSU Board of Regents.

CFTRD MILESTONES:
- Published research outputs in Scopus, Web of Science Indexed Journals, and AGPCI, contributing to the body of knowledge in relevant fields.
- Released episodes of the podcast Istorya Ta! on Spotify, fostering meaningful conversations and knowledge sharing.
- Conducted professional lectures and monitoring sessions through the RgF Caravan to capacitate faculty, staff, and relevant stakeholders.
- Participated in international, national, and regional conferences, intensifying internationalization efforts within the Asia-Pacific region and further establishing the university as a regional leader in regenerative futures.
- Launched the RgF Trainer’s Module to provide comprehensive training resources and capacity-building tools.
- Launched the Katigaman Policy Brief Series derived from research studies, to help inform and provide policy recommendations that align with the regenerative futures agenda.
- Trained over 10,000 participants from diverse sectors, including students, professionals, and stakeholders, to capacitate them about the niche and branding of the university. This initiative supports the vision to become a leading Regenerative Futures University in the Asia-Pacific Region by 2035.
