ABOUT
The office of the Provincial Institute of Agriculture (PIA) is one of the centers under the Research, Innovation and Extension (RIE) Division embodied by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and National Agriculture and Fisheries Education System (NAFES).
GOALS:
- Initiate and take the role in upgrading the quality of Agriculture in the Province;
- Organize Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) that would satisfy the role of P.I.A. in the Province;
- Implement PPAs that will utilize research results on agriculture in accordance to the needs of the Province;
- Increase linkage and collaboration with other agencies and create impact to target clients; and
- Develop instructional materials for agriculture, education and training.

To be a leading catalyst for agricultural development in Davao Oriental, recognized for its excellence in research, training, and community engagement, fostering a vibrant and resilient farming community.
MISSION
To empower Davao Oriental’s agricultural sector by providing innovative and sustainable solutions through research, extension, and capacity building, enhancing farmer livelihoods and contributing to food security and economic growth.
