ABOUT
A University Research Ethics Board (UREB) is a formally designated, independent committee established by an academic institution to review and oversee research involving human participants. The UREB ensures that all research aligns with ethical standards, legal requirements, and institutional policies. It acts as a safeguard for the rights, dignity, and welfare of participants by assessing potential risks and ensuring appropriate protections are in place. The UREB also provides researchers with guidance on ethical research practices and helps maintain public trust in the university’s research activities.

- Protect Human Participants
- Ensure the safety, privacy, and autonomy of individuals involved in research.
- Confirm that risks are minimized and are reasonable in relation to potential benefits.
- Ensure Ethical Standards in Research

- Ensure transparency in research design, data handling, and reporting.
